Founder and President

I am LaShaun D. Johnson-McCroy "A Light in a Dark Place" Is a Ministry that I founded  in 2008, as well as lived. God has allowed me to experience many bumpy roads and different circumstances throughout my life, not to punish me, but to show me His Glory. I've learned that the best examples in Ministry come from lifes unpredictable events. I believe and I now know that God was preparing, molding, and creating in me a heart of compassion. Everyday "Social Media" depicts negativity 24 hours a day. I've finally "declared and decreed" that I MUST be a positive part of the CHANGE that this World needs. I've been encouraging myself that these past 8 years haven't been wasted, and haven't been in vain. I have allowed God to mold and re-new my mind to be open for change and know that the impossible "IS" possible. The most important life lesson that I have had to learn is needing validation and approval. Sometimes people have a outward preconceaved notion of what hurt, poverty and abuse looks like. It's so easy to mask the pain, especially when you know how to "smile through the tears." I've learned through Prayer, Fasting, Trusting and believing God's Word to be a conqueror. As President and Founder of "A Light In A Dark Place" I have the confidence in knowing that God is with me, God is my Provider and that He will touch the hearts and bring the connections to fulfill His Plan and Purpose.

A "Dream Location" for the OVERFLOW!
